1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how ServCue ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and shares information when you visit servcue.com (the "Website") or use ServCue for Managers and our related apps and software (together, the "Services").

ServCue provides software that automates everyday restaurant management tasks, such as staff management, shift coverage, hiring, onboarding and training, so managers can spend more time on the floor.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Questions? Email us at hello@servcue.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a demo, contact us, purchase a plan or use the Services, you may give us:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Job titles or roles (for example, owner, general manager or server)
  • Usernames and passwords
  • Restaurant or business name and location
  • Information about your staff that you enter into the Services, such as names, roles, schedules and training progress

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website or use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Log and usage data: IP address, browser type and settings, pages viewed, features used, dates and times of access, and error and performance data.
  • Device data: device type, operating system, hardware model, app and device identifiers, and internet service provider.
  • Location data: approximate location (such as city or country) based on your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Information from other sources

  • Employers and account administrators: if your restaurant uses ServCue, your employer may create your account and provide your name, email, phone number, role and schedule.
  • Connected business tools: if your restaurant connects third-party tools, such as scheduling or point-of-sale software, we receive staff and schedule information from those tools.
  • Payment processors: when you buy a plan, Stripe processes your payment and shares confirmation details with us, such as your name, email and plan. We do not receive or store your full card number.

3. How we use your information

To provide the Services

We use your information as needed to deliver the Services and meet our agreements with you, including to:

  • Create and manage accounts and send login credentials
  • Run automations such as shift coverage, onboarding and training workflows
  • Enable communication between managers and staff within the Services
  • Process and manage plan purchases and subscriptions
  • Respond to demo requests, questions and support requests
  • Send administrative information, such as account, billing and policy updates

For our legitimate business interests

We also use information to:

  • Improve and develop the Services, including our automations and AI features
  • Measure the results of pilot programs with participating restaurants, such as time saved and adoption
  • Understand how the Website and Services are used
  • Keep the Services, accounts and data secure, and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Follow up on demo requests and send product updates, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Create anonymized, aggregated reports that do not identify any individual or restaurant

To comply with law

We may use information to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests and protect our rights.

4. AI features and staff insights

The Services use artificial intelligence to automate tasks, generate documents such as training plans and shift summaries, and provide insights to managers and owners.

To do this, we send relevant information to third-party AI providers, currently [AI PROVIDER NAME]. These providers process the information only to deliver results to us, under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Staff insights. Some features draw conclusions about individual staff members, such as training progress or whether a new hire may need extra support. These insights are shown only to the restaurant's managers and administrators. They are meant to support management decisions, not replace them, and we do not use them to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on staff.

We do not use your restaurant's data to train AI models for other customers.

5. When we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Payment processor (Stripe)
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Vercel)
  • Email and communication providers (such as Google Workspace)
  • AI providers ([AI PROVIDER NAME])
  • Tools your restaurant connects (such as scheduling or point-of-sale software)
  • Your employer or restaurant administrator
  • Legal and safety recipients
  • A buyer or successor, if ServCue is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets

Our service providers may use your information only to perform services for us.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, process payments securely and understand how the Website is used. Stripe may also set cookies during checkout.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, such as staying logged in, may not work without them.

7. Data retention, security and children

Retention. We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. After an account is closed, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable time, unless we must keep certain records to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login credentials private and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

Children. The Services are intended for businesses and their employees. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your choices

  • Update your account: log in to your account settings, or contact us at hello@servcue.com.
  • Employer-managed accounts: if your account was set up by your employer, your restaurant's account administrator can update or remove it. If you no longer work at a restaurant that uses ServCue, your employer may deactivate your account, or you can contact us to request deletion.
  • Close a restaurant account: owners or administrators can close their restaurant's account by contacting us. This removes access for all of its users.
  • Demo and contact requests: if you submitted a form on our Website, email us to update or remove that information.
  • Marketing emails: unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send essential account and billing messages.

We respond to update and deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Your privacy rights

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Tennessee and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use and share
  • Access and get a copy of your information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, or of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do neither)
  • Not be discriminated against for using these rights

To make a request, email hello@servcue.com. We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorized agent, and you may appeal our decision by replying to our response. If your information was provided by your employer, we may refer your request to them.

International users. ServCue is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the U.S. If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom or Canada, you may have additional rights under local law, and you can contact us to exercise them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or through the Services.
